OSLEA RUN

Oslea Run is a mountain running competition held in the Retezat and Vâlcan mountains, in the area of the Oslea, Paltina, and Piatra Iorgovanului massifs. The event, organized by the Valea Jiului Alpine Club, continues the tradition of mountain running in the area, offering four daytime races that highlight spectacular routes amidst nature, at the confluence of the Retezat and Domogled-Valea Cernei National Parks. Participants enjoy an authentic outdoor experience with challenging trails and impressive scenery. The event also includes a children's race, as well as related social and cultural activities.

Kit pickup is available from 16:00 to 22:00 the day before and between 7:00 and 8:00 on race day. The start for the Scorota trail is at 8:00, and for the Paltina, Oslea, and Șarba trails at 9:00. All participants who finish within the time limit receive a finisher medal and a limited edition cap. Support points are available along the route and at the finish line, with individual timing and online rankings, wine tasting, traditional dinner, ambulance at start/finish, and access to workshops and social space with a campfire and live music. The event takes place on mountain and natural trails, with accommodation options in the Valea Iarului area and other facilities for participants.
