Race description
Vrancea Montană Run is a mountain running event organized in the Vrancea Mountains, in the commune of Păulești, offering an authentic nature experience for runners of all levels. The race includes two main events: an 11 km cross with approximately 350 meters of elevation gain and a half marathon of 21 km with 550 meters of elevation gain, both taking place on varied, unpaved routes that combine forest roads, trails, and rugged areas. The event is organized by the Vrancea Montană Association with the support of the Păulești City Hall and promotes respect for the wild environment and fair play among competitors. Participants also contribute to a noble cause, supporting the rehabilitation of wildlife in Romania.

The routes are not closed to traffic; participants must respect traffic conduct rules. The event has a time limit for each race: 2.5 hours for the cross and 4 hours for the half marathon. Organizers provide training guides for mountain running. The first 350 participants benefited from free registration in previous editions. The start and finish are located on the plateau near the Salvamont Păulești Base. Mountain routes with elevation differences of 350 m D+ for the cross and 550 m D+ for the half marathon, online registration and results, event supported by Păulești City Hall.
