Turnu Roșu Challenge

Turnu Roșu Challenge is a sub-mountain running competition held on marked trails in Turnu Roșu and on the hills at the foot of the Făgăraș Mountains, offering spectacular natural scenery and a challenge for all fitness levels. The event includes three races: a 21 km half marathon, an 11 km cross-country race, and a 7 km hike, each suited to different types of participants, from experienced runners to those looking for a more relaxed experience. The organizers emphasize safety, recovery, and socializing, offering amenities such as stretching sessions, post-run massage, camping, and activities for children. It’s an excellent opportunity to enjoy nature, sport, and community in Sibiu County.

Participants receive a medal, race bib, an optional sweatshirt for an additional fee, a meal voucher, and a carbohydrate gel. Regenerative massage and stretching sessions are offered after the race. The evening before the competition, camping is organized, with a campfire and an outdoor film screening. There is a painting workshop for children during the race. The routes include technical descents and pass through scenic areas, making them ideal for mountain trail-running enthusiasts.
