Roșia Montană Marathon

Roșia Montană Marathon is a sports, eco, and socio-cultural event held in the Apuseni Mountains, in the commune of Roșia Montană, Alba County. The 13th edition in 2026 celebrates the nature, history, and cultural heritage of the area, offering varied routes for runners of all levels. The race includes marathon, half-marathon, cross-country, and children's race categories, on routes that combine mountain trails, local roads, and sections of asphalt. Participants can admire natural landscapes and old architecture along the way, in a setting that promotes a healthy lifestyle and respect for the environment.

The event takes place from June 19 to June 21, 2026, with kit pickup at the Central Square on the day before the race. The program also includes cultural and social activities, such as creative workshops and concerts. The routes are designed for both mountain runners and street runners.
