.msg The Apuseni Marathon is an iconic mountain running event held in the picturesque landscapes of the Apuseni Mountains, in the Buscat Resort area, Cluj County. The race offers five varied routes, from ultramarathon and marathon to half marathon, cross country, and a family race dedicated to children and parents. Participants enjoy an authentic outdoor experience, crossing dense forests, spectacular ridges, and traditional villages, in a friendly and festive atmosphere. The event is organized by the Romanian Alpine Club Cluj Branch and will celebrate its 15th edition in 2026, promising sporting challenges and social moments in the mountain rhythm.

The ultramarathon starts at 05:00. Technical briefings are held for each event on race day. The Family race has staggered starts for different age categories at 12:30 and 13:00. The event includes activities for children, family yoga, a party, and an awards ceremony. The organizer recommends booking accommodation and transportation in advance. Routes for all preferences, mountain adventure event, promotion of nature and local traditions, volunteer activities, and a social cause for reforestation.
