Race description
Maratonul Vinului powered by OMV Petrom is Romania’s first charitable mountain biking race, now in its 14th edition. The event takes place in the town of Urlați, Prahova County, on April 25, 2026, among the area’s hills, vineyards, and wineries. Participants can choose from several routes suited to their ability, ranging from 4 km for children to 50 km for experienced cyclists. The race promotes cycling as a healthy lifestyle and supports important social causes.

The children’s races (4 and 8 km) start at 09:00, the 18, 30, and 50 km routes at 10:35, and the Family Ride at 10:45. Race packs can be collected in Bucharest and at the venue during specified time slots. Family Ride participants do not receive a race kit and may go directly to the start. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 15:00, and the cutoff time is 16:30. The event also includes activities for families and children, supports social and educational causes, and promotes wine culture and local tourism.
